Is my data really stored offline only? ▼
Yes, absolutely. Digital Will Locker is 100% offline. All your data is stored exclusively on your device using AES-256 encryption. No data is ever sent to any server or cloud service. Your information never leaves your device.
What happens if I forget my master password? ▼
You can recover your vault using your 12-word recovery phrase provided when you created your vault. Store it safely in a physical location. Without both your password AND recovery phrase, access cannot be recovered — this is by design for maximum security.
How does the Dead Man's Switch work? ▼
The Dead Man's Switch monitors your app check-in activity. If you don't check in within your set time period, it automatically notifies your designated emergency contacts. You can customize the check-in interval from daily to weekly in Settings.
Can I use the app on multiple devices? ▼
Since the app is 100% offline, each device has its own separate vault. You can manually export and import your encrypted vault file to transfer between devices. Your subscription can be restored on the same account.
What encryption does the app use? ▼
The app uses AES-256 encryption — the same standard used by governments and military worldwide. Your master password is hashed using PBKDF2 with 10,000 iterations, making brute-force attacks virtually impossible.
How do I cancel my subscription? ▼
Subscriptions are managed through Google Play or Apple App Store. On Android: Google Play → Subscriptions → Digital Will Locker → Cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date.
How do I install the APK directly on Android? ▼
1. Download the APK file from our website. 2. On Android go to Settings → Security → Enable "Install unknown apps". 3. Open the downloaded APK and tap Install. 4. You can disable unknown sources again after installation.
