1. About The Service

Digital Will Locker is an offline-first, AES-256 encrypted digital vault application for storing wills, documents, payment cards, and emergency contact information. The app operates entirely on your device with zero cloud storage.

2. User Responsibilities

• Keep your master password and 12-word recovery phrase safe — we cannot recover them
• Ensure documents stored are legally valid in your jurisdiction
• Keep your device secure and updated
• Configure Dead Man's Switch check-in intervals responsibly
• Back up your vault file regularly to prevent data loss
• You are responsible for all activity under your vault

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Payments and billing are processed securely through PayPal.

4. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Since billing is processed through PayPal rather than Google Play or Apple's billing systems, standard app store refund windows do not apply. Our refund terms are as follows:

• You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period
• Refund requests made within 48 hours of a charge, where the paid features were not used, may be considered on a case-by-case basis — contact support@digitalwilllocker.com
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods after 48 hours from the charge date
• Refunds, where approved, are processed back to the original PayPal payment method

5. Direct APK Download

We offer a direct APK download for Android users. By installing the APK you agree to:

• Enable "Install unknown apps" on your device at your own risk
• Understand the APK is the same app as available in app stores
• Keep the app updated by checking our website for new versions

6. AI Features

The optional AI features — including AI Voice Chat, AI Emergency Assistant, and Document Organizer AI — are powered by a third-party AI service provider. By using any of these features you agree that AI responses are for informational purposes only and should not be used as legal, medical, or financial advice. These features are entirely optional; you can use the full core app without enabling any of them. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is handled when using these features.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Digital Will Locker is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We strongly recommend:

• Keeping physical backups of important documents
• Not relying solely on our app for critical legal documents
• Consulting a legal professional for will preparation
• Storing your 12-word recovery phrase in multiple secure locations

8. Limitation of Liability

Since all data is stored locally on your device, we cannot be held responsible for data loss due to device failure, forgotten passwords, or lost recovery phrases. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app.

9. Prohibited Uses

• Using the app for any illegal purpose
• Attempting to reverse engineer or crack the encryption
• Storing content that violates applicable laws
• Reselling or redistributing the app

10. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Your subscription can be cancelled through the respective app store. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these terms will first be addressed through our support contact below before pursuing formal resolution, including binding arbitration or the courts of Malaysia where applicable.
